Easy Ways to Boost Your Immune System during COVID-19 The Natural Way
The world is full of advice on what to do and what not to do during the COVID-19 pandemic. No one is really giving you specifics on things that you can do yourself to keep your immune system in high gear. I have a few suggestions to help you “rev up” your immune system.
-
- Drink plenty of water. I know you’ve heard this before but now do it. Calculate your body weight, divide by 2 and there are your daily fluid ounces.
- Get enough sleep. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A least 7 hours please.
- Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. They are full of antioxidants that kill free radicals (they are chemicals that damage DNA and suppress the immune system)
- Work out on a regular basis. At least 3 days a week for 30 minutes.
- Take supplements: elderberry, ginger, turmeric, echinacea, oil of oregano, garlic, colloidal silver, astralagus, cordyceps, and Rhodiola
- Minimize Stress
- Reduce your exposure to toxins, destructive and any other stressors to the body i.e. smoking
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Choose healthy fats. They help increase your body’s production of compounds involved in regulating immunity.
